Many years later, a friend was driving past this clients house and noticed a big white something lying on her curb (in historic McKinney, if you want something to be recycled, you place on your curb and someone always picks it up). She called me as she was passing this big white something. It turned out to be this headboard I had created for her years earlier!
My friend and I loaded it up on top of her car, held onto it with a tight grip as we drove it back to my house. Very Beverly Hillbillies, but we got the headboard back to my house. We recovered it and sold it to another client I had at the time. She changed her mind about the style, so I got that back. My friend who discovered it on the curb, recovered it yet another time and her daughter has it in her apartment as I type.
The monogrammed bit of fabric on the top was made into a pillow for my spare room (S is the first letter in my maiden name), so, we recycled this lovely magazine worthy headboard three fold.
